An unexpected encounter.

The need for sleep was getting larger and larger as Arkrius walked around the streets of Toron. He was quite lost in the town and scratched the back of his head. Where the fucking hell am I? wondered Arkrius as he stared up into the sky, tilting his hat to shield his eyes from the harsh rays. There was a nearby bench and he decided to rest his feet for the time being and slouched down. His head was raised up to stare at the sky and his eyes were slowly squinted.

Tired... He thought before they closed entirely and decided to rest his eyes for a brief minute before suddenly opening them and headed back on his search to an inn.

After a good half an hour of searching, he had found a good inn for a decent price and had entered his room. It was an average sized room, but, nevertheless, perfect for sleep. He threw his hat on a nearby dresser and simply fell face first into the bed. His eyes instantly closed and was quickly drifting into a deep sleep.

"Geez Nee-San! Where are you taking me?" Kali whined after being dragged around for a while by her sister. Something was off about Lea to Kali's eyes. She had never seen her sister so deep in thought, but it seemed as if Lea wasn't intent on telling her what was wrong.

"Nee-san, at least tell me where we are going?" Kali said "You're acting so weird right now"

Kali struggled to at least get her sister's grip off, but since she wasn't in battle form, she didn't have the strength to compete with her sister, who's strength remained constant. What's worse is that she still had to walk around in her maid dress, she hated it when she was stuck in such embarrassing situations.

Lea dragged her sister along the streets of Toron, her mind set on her next destination. She walked quickly through the crowd, citizens moving to the side or jumping out of her way. The people of Toron didn't know what was up with Lea, but something told them that they should get out of her way. Some men of the city were foolish enough to get in Lea's way, and Lea threw them through several windows.

He has to be here somewhere, I just need to find Father's magical signal Lea thought to herself, suddenly a large white surge of energy appeared in her eyes. There you are

Lea followed the light to an inn, she ignored all of the people and walked straight to the room where she saw the light coming from. She knocked on the door, making the sound loud enough to be heard by the person within it.

"Hello?~" Lea spoke through the door "Can you open the door please?"

The sound of a door knocking slowly broke Arkrius out of his slumber. He slowly growled and slowly sat up. Everything was completely blurry and he looked around. He slowly stood up and started to walk towards the door with a small sway in his step. He slowly opened the door and stared outside the door. There was two girls in front of his door and he stared at them blankly. "Who are you?" He asked as he slowly scratched his eye with a yawn.

Lea was surprised to not see who she was expecting opening the door. Lea didn't find who she was looking for but she found someone else.

"I'm sorry I thought you were someone else" Lea apologized "But I must say, I was surprised to see you here"

Lea slipped past Arkrius, getting into his room and looking around his room, leaving her back open to him.

"You seem to be quite relaxed for a wanted criminal" Lea said as she looked back at him, smiling "Don't you? Valfred Barras Atherton"

It seemed odd that she simply moseyed on into his room and Arkrius paid it no mind as he was too tired to care at the moment. His hand reached into his pocket and pulled a cigarette out. He placed it in his mouth and reached for a lighter, but his eye widened and was completely wide awake once he acknowledged that she knew who she was. Not another Witch Hunter...or a bounty hunter... he thought to himself as he lit his cigarette.

His hand inched closer towards his gun as he slowly took a drag. "What the hell do you want?" growled Arkrius as he walked over towards the window. It needed to be open in case the situation became hairy. He slowly opened it and sat on the windowsill, still cautious and suspicious of this girl. "How do you know me?"

Kali was confused about this situation, she didn't know who the man was or why Lea even brought her here to meet him.

"Nee-san, why are we here? Who is this man?" Kali asked frantically "We left Master behind at the train"

Kali didn't know what was going on in the first place, and now it was getting even more confusing for her. Kali decided that if she wanted to know anything, she would have to wait it out and see.

"You'll soon find out Kali" Lea said smiling "After all this includes you too"

Lea looked back at Arkrius, and moved towards the bed of his room and sat on it. She rested one leg over the other and she leaned back a bit on her arms to get comfortable.

"Well Valfred, or Arkrius, whichever name you go by nowadays" Lea answered "I know you, I don't know everything about you"

Lea placed a hand over her chest, a wide smirk written across her face.

"After all, you were the man that killed me"

Arkrius reached into his pocket and spat out the cigarette in his mouth and reached for a flask of whiskey and took a long sip before hearing the news that he had killed her before. It sounded completely outrageous that he choked on his drink and spat out the remaining in his mouth out of the window. He was wildly coughing and wheezing, his hand pounding on his chest as he tried to get the liquid out of his windpipe.

W-what!? Arkrius thought to himself as he looked at the woman. "How is that possible?" It was confusing for him, very confusing. A woman claiming that he killed her? Preposterous. Everyone he's killed, he'd make sure that they were dead. Sure he didn't take account of every face, but, he remembered that he never killed a woman such as her. Last he remembered, there wasn't any magic that brought back the dead. Or at least, that's what he thought. "I'm quite sure I never killed you, let alone met you till now." He shook his head and wiped the whiskey that was on his lips. "What's your game? Why are you here? Surely it isn't to just tell me that I killed you before."

"Well it is obvious you couldn't tell it was me from my appearance, nor by any display of magic I use since I don't use any of the magic I used to use" Lea said calmly "I was originally here because I thought you were my past self, my "father" in a sense"

Lea walked towards Arkrius casually and touched where his heart should be.

"But it seems when I saved your life in the desert that day, I left a piece of my magic with you, the signature of my flame still flows within you" Lea smiled "If you remember that time when I took that blow for you, at the cost of my own life, which you yourself created when you pumped yourself full of mana and blew off your arm, I'm sure you'll remember who I am"

W-w-w-w-w-what!? Arkrius thought to himself mentally. The very event flowed into his mind as if it was only yesterday. It was so vivid, so real. The moment from his arm blowing off to the moment where Kal saved his life. He tried to speak, but, his voice didn't come out of his mouth. This was so confusing. "...Kal?" He asked and his arm wrapped around her and hugged her tightly, but then it just hit him. Why the hell is he a girl? He raised an eyebrow and eyed her. "If you're Kal...then..." He scratched the side of his head with one finger. "Why the hell are you a girl? Also, how the bloody hell are you fucking alive!? Also..." He pointed off to the other girl. "Who's she? Where's Rappa? Cecily? On another note, don't make me waste good whiskey!"

He peeked out the window to see if anyone was outside and it looked like the street was partially busy at the moment. It could be some time to catch up on what happened over the years. "You got quite a bit of explaining to do."

"Well old friend" Lea said walking over to Kali, wrapping her arms around her and leading her towards Arkrius "This is Kali, my twin sister, or my other self"

"About my family, when I died, their bodies slowly deteriorated from this world" Lea explained "When I was brought back to life, my body was being destroyed from within by the conflicting elements within our body, so they used their combined life energies to save us"

"We are one person, two sides of the same coin, she is light while I am darkness" Lea continued "She is known as Kali, after our former self and I am now known as Lea, named after the person who gave us life"

"Unlike Kali however, I remember our past life"

"I'm not really sure what this all means, but Nee-san has explained it to me" Kali said, touching where her heart should be "Even though you did kill me in a past life, I can feel like he doesn't have any negative feeling against you"

Kali bowed to Arkrius, and held out her hand to him. She wanted to be friends with him, if her past self was friends with him, he was obviously a good man.

"I hope like my old self, we can manage to be friends" Kali smiled "Like Nee-san said, I don't remember anything, so I get to know you all over again"

This has to be the biggest bullshit I have heard in my life. Arkrius thought to himself as he heard this. Two of the same person? How was this possible? He grabbed Kali's hand and shook it with an extremely confused expression on his face as he wasn't exactly sure what to make of this mess. "Okay..." He said in a confused tone.

"What about everyone else? Leneor and them?" He asked. "Surely everyone is doing partially well, right? Damn, it's been a damn long time. Three years or so. Hell, I don't even remember."

"I have no idea about Lycan or anyone else from WH" Lea admitted "But I know about Leneor, and he is doing well, however just like myself, he isn't how he used to be"

"And yes it has been a long time, I heard about Khantis I heard that you died in that ordeal too, seems that wasn't the case" Lea said smiling

Lea then gestured to Kali, and emphasizing the fact she was wearing a maid outfit.

"As you can see, Kali is a maid and I am a bodyguard" Lea said "We were just with out Master until I noticed my magical signature, I came here thinking I was going to find myself, I thought Kaluoshen was still alive after all the endeavors"

"It seems like most of our old group who went on the mission in the North ended up in different situations"

"He isn't as he used to be? What do you mean?" Arkrius asked, curious what Lea meant by her words. Could it have been a similar situation with Kali and Lea? Highly doubtful. But after hearing what happened, anything is possible. A small grin appeared on his face. "I'm sure lucky. Many occasions where I should have died, I simply lucked out on all of them." He blinked at the maid costume and then looked between Lea and Kali. "Master? Who the hell is your "Master"?" He said with his fingers representing quotation marks at the word "Master".

The windowsill was becoming tiring to sit on as it was uncomfortable compared to the bed. He slowly sat on the edge and then sighed before lying down on it with his legs hanging off the edge. In a second, he slipped out of his trench coat and threw it where his hat was. "This is definitely the surprise..." He mumbled to himself. "Well, after you found out that the magical signature is me, what are you going to do now?"

"Well~" Lea said while she looked around to ponder what to do "Since you aren't who I thought you were, I guess I can let Kali leave for now, I brought her here because I thought you were Kaluoshen, but since you aren't it's best for her to go back to our Master"

Kali, I want to catch up with him and have some time alone if that's alright with you Lea said You can return to Master if you want

"The way we met our master was quite entertaining, Kali fell in love at first sight and didn't even refuse becoming a maid, the moment he saw her in a maid outfit, it became permanent" Lea smiled "Isn't that right Kali?"

Arkrius quietly chuckled after hearing the birth of Kali's love and blinked before sitting up. He slowly looked at Kali and eyed her. "He definitely has good taste." He commented before chuckling with a smug grin on his face. Definitely looking good. he thought to himself before running a hand through his hair move it off to the side. "A master and maid..." A small smile appeared on his face. "Good choice..." He said underneath his breath.

"The only reason you brought Kali was to simply meet Kal, if he was alive...hm..." He spoke to himself quietly as he reached for another cigarette. He paused for a second before looking at Lea. "You never explained what you were gonna do now." Arkrius stated as he looked at her. "You also didn't answer who your Master was." Curiosity was on his mind as he wanted to know, but, possibly chose to ignore it. A small shrug came about his shoulders and started to light his cigarette and fall back on the bed, resuming where he left off in staring a the ceiling.

Very well Nee-san, if that is what you wish, I'll return to Master Kali responded through their mental link I'll tell you if we meet into any trouble

Kali was about to quietly get up and leave, but when Lea began telling stories about her, Kali ran into Lea and covered her mouth, but to no avail as Lea had already finished her sentence. Kali listened as Arkrius began to laugh at her too, and her face brightened to a scarlet color. Without a word she ran outside of the room, she couldn't handle anymore embarrassment. A slight bit of tears came out of her eyes, not because she was sad, but she was getting too embarrassed too often.

Baka Nee-san, she always teases me and get others to do it too... Kali pouted as she thought about it I hope Master didn't buy anything weird for me...

"Well getting rid of her was easier than I thought" Lea sighed as she watched Kali run out, a smirk across her face. "I swear she's too easy"

Lea looked at Arkrius as he lay down on the bed. Lea walked over to Arkrius and sat on top of him. She looked down on him with an even wider smirk.

"If you are asking about my Master, until I learn to love him romantically, he's not my Master, by terms of our relationship. Of course no one knows that but me" Lea smiled "If you wanna know what I'm going to be doing for the rest of the day, I really don't have anything better to do"

Lea leaned down to hover above Arkrius, their chests touching, their faces only a short distance. Lea looked at him with questioning eyes.

"So Arkrius, what do you think I should do?"

The ceiling started to move and shift in various directions as his eyes unfocused and slowly took a drag. He came back into focus when he felt something on him and he moved his head to see Lea sitting on him. W-what? he thought as he almost dropped the cigarette onto the bed. What the hell is she...he...it...she...what the hell is Lea...Kal...whatever...doing!?

This was a completely odd and awkward moment. An old friend whom was previously male, now female for a extremely complicated reason, was now sitting on him. It became even odder that their chests were touching. Years had passed since he had a woman's touch and simply longed for one. His eyes traveled towards her lips and simply drawn to them. He paused and completely dismissed the thought.

No, no, no, no. This is Kal, Lea...whomever...this is driving me insane and up a fucking wall! It's been three years since I longed for a woman and this is definitely not the right time and especially not the right person!

Arkrius took another drag as an attempt to calm down his nerves and it had for the most part...as long as he didn't think about anything that could tip him over. "Hell if I know. You know I simply follow my whims. So why not follow yours?" He said as he turned his face away to look at the window. Damn it, if this was someone not as attractive, it'd be easy, but, because it's an attractive...whatever. It's hard to ignore!

"I'm just like you Arkrius, I just go with my instincts" Lea said smiling "Whatever you are thinking in that head of yours, I'll tell you I can tell exactly what you are feeling right now"

Lea smiled, she knew she was pushing him and the her mischievous mind made her want to continue.

"Despite me being a man in a past life, I'm a woman now" Lea said smiling "I can tell you haven't been with a woman for a long time, and I haven't been with a man ever"

Lea looked at Arkrius in the eyes, their gazes meeting. Lea took the cigarette away from Arkrius, putting it out and throwing it away.

"You say you follow your instincts Arkrius" Lea smiled, she then leaned in and moved her head to his ear. "What are they telling you now?"

Arkrius coughed when he heard saying that she could tell exactly what he was feeling and blinked a few times. Was it really that obvious that he hadn't been with another woman in so long? He thought that there were some partial signs, but, not completely be damn right hit the nail on the head. ...she's right. I haven't been with another woman...

He lightly squirmed when he felt her hot breath against his ear as she spoke. Oi, oi... His hand cupped underneath her chin and brought her to look at him. "You really wanna know?" He asked before his eyes traveled towards her lips. They quickly flickered up away. Despite saying that he followed his instincts, this one seemed to be a little fishy. He partially parted his lips and lightly licked them before he slowly moved closer towards her as if he was going to kiss her. It wasn't his intention to actually kiss, just perhaps wanting to see what would happen.

Lea watched as Arkrius leaned in closer, looking like he was getting ready to kiss her. But he didn't kiss her, she looked at him slightly frustrated. She grabbed his head and brought it to meet hers and their eyes met once again.

"You know Arkrius, you are a bigger tease than I am" Lea said in a slightly irritated tone, but a smirk still planted on her face.

Lea brought Arkrius' face to hers and pulled him into a kiss, she expertly moved her tongue around his and rested her body against his, moving slightly from time to time during it. Lea broke off and leaned on her arms slightly above him.

"Yes Arkrius, I really want to know" Lea breathed, her breath seeming slightly short.

A quiet chuckle accompanied by a small smile came to Arkrius as he saw her frustrated face and blinked when she grabbed his head. "Oh, am I now?" He commented, accompanied by a shrug. His eye opened wide the moment she had kissed him. It slowly closed after feeling the expert movements of her tongue in his mouth and against his own.

W-wow. He thought. ...didn't ex - wait...would this make me...fuck it. She's a woman now. Oh...I missed this for quite a while, the touch, feel and scent of a woman.

"Let's say a fun time." Arkrius stated before she could say anything and kissed her before quickly and effectively switching positions. "Interested now?" He asked with a grin on his face as he started to caress her body with his touch and a kiss to her neck.
