Wíthin ruins

Leneor kept walking on, leaving another Witch remain on the cold ground. He had walked upon the first with hope of her being only unconcious, with the second and third he had begun just leaving them where they were.
He reached the tower - he was the first to accomplish that from what it looked like. while most of the buildings had remained mostly intact the tower itself had obviously been effected in greater scale, it only had half its height, parts of it had fallen off and the rest was being swallowed for the same reason as for all the buildings. Strangely the doors were still intact, though it didnt need a lycan to kick them out of their frame.

the door made a lud *thud* noise as it crashed on the floor. The room was left in its original state, and just as empty of living things as the rest of the town. He searched the room for remnants of the fight, even though his only purpose was to make clear that the witch had died, he wanted to retrieve something from the place untill it fully disintigrated.
He made a few steps as he noticed something beneath the sole of his boot, as he examined the light blue piece a difficult expression manifested on his fac.

He picked up the shards that were pulsating in a weak light blue - Ashantir. During hisfight he had entirely broken apart the sword that had been in his possession for so long. He took his time to collect up the pieces he could fine, even though after a couple of minutes he only had a handful of shards held in his palm. He tossed them into a small pouch and tied it to his waist.

There ain't anything left here, it probably was useless coming here after all. I guess I'll just... Leneor stopped in his tracks. A small room he had not yet noticed, neither did he remember seeing it when he entered. Was there some kind of Magic put on it? Well, while I'm here i can at least take a look at it.
He wandered over to the door, strangely the room inside was neatly aranged and hadnt taken any damage unlike the rest of the town. The room was clearer to breathe in aswell.

It seemed like a miniature Libary, alongside the walls were several schelves with books, a table with a few books on it aswell, and many papers. the room was around 60m² in size, but still it had been packed full of things. Some chemicals were on the table aswell, and further away in the corner was another table, but better organazied than the one he was standing next to. Yet it realy caught his attention. Especialy the two dark daggers lying ontop.

They were heavy, and made of stone. Cold upon touch aswell. Obviously they had to be, he had no Mana inside him anymore, and obsidean stone reacted upon Mana when empty. Though that was only a thesis up to now, nobody ever achieved pulling the Mana out of obsidean Stone yet, except for Lillith as the daggers were prove enough.

What did she actually do all these years? i know she said she had changed her ways, it meant nothing for my plans of revenge, but all these years she hasn't shown up or anything. Leneor walked over to the desk with the books, putting the daggers neatly to the side. He had picked up the red book with no clarification on it what it was about. He threw the lid open and went through the neat handwriting - dates, personal date, impressions on certain events - was this her diary?

"I though people would grow out of those." he talked into the silence. He went forwards, into a passage maybe a year before the war swallowing his country had begun, appparently the date Lillith had received her supporter...

... I'm still unsure. It's an honor to be granted allowance to control one such high ranked supporter, i didnt even expect Mylady to choose me, i'm so fortunate that [...]. Though I'm kind of scared considering that my supporter will be a true demon, i heard that there are few witches that control one, and that all of them are considered aces, but what if i cannot yet control him? I'm a genius, fine, but is that enough to control a demon? I heard enough of demonic corruption. Isn't it that they only chose me because I already control 4 edges of the Pentagramm? I realy [...]

"Didn't seem like her a year later when she coldbloodedly sucked a country dry of life, and used the citizens as human guinea pigs." He flipped over the pages with results of several experiments, explanation how much fun it is to torture, and several other things he could waive upon.

...Damn that boy! I'll get him back no matter what, he's just a stupid kid, I'll send him to hell and back again - if it werent for the stupid slut of a sister with her protective spell! I want to suck out her Mana, but no, she sacrificed all of it for that lump of human flesh! Ever since he's away my Fû [= Wind magic] has vanished! curse him! And Even Nemisis won't answer to me, a void of whispers...

"get what you deserved." he flipped over the next few pages, probably just useless rambling.

... something is wrong, I feel not the slightest pleasure in torturing, my magic seems to go instable again and again, and lastly for some reason i feel every one of my decisions, might they be just as small, weighten me down [...] I have the feeling as if redemption is trying to grasp after my soul.

I can't believe my own stupidity, i was being consumed by the shadows cast by my own supporter. All these things, I just cannot comprehend how i was able to do such cruel things. I send away the guards and messengers belonging to her Mistress... for some reason i feel disgusting naming her that way, but i know no other name of hers... I lured them out and activated my transportation device. I don't know if she can find me, but if she does i will fight, i can no longer accept the way i have been living up to now, i abandoned most of my scripts (even though i could not burn them).
One thing is sure however, i have to make up for what I have done[...]

...even so, its not like one can simply make up for all these dead people. Leneor went further through the diaries, he was going towards the last third - mainly what was happening during the time he was gone.

... I felt sorry for the girl, abandoned by her village and cast away. That is why i have decided to invite her to be my apprentice. Though I'm unsure what to teach her, I myself have been taught offensive and destructive magic. He tossed the book to the ground. Is she mocking me? its like she's standing before me trying to convince me that what i did was wrong, that I am the villain after all.
After his outburst he slowly picked up the book again, neatly rearanging the pages. He scooped over towards the end, the last few weeks...

I finished them at last. It's not that i'm all that happy about finishing something that is a weapon, but after all weapons never are evil, its usualy their users. I plan on giving it to the boy, its ironic that the person whom I possibly hurt the most was the one to safe me from falling into the Abyss of Chaos...

"yes, ironic. I won't go back on being proud of killing Lillith Pendragon, but the person she has become probably didn't deserve the judgement I cast upon her." Leneor slowly read through the last pages.

I'm terribly close now, It seems I might soon be able to cancel the negative effects that fall upon artificial magic users if they get corrupted by magic.[...] If I had known how far i would come without following her back then, i probably wouldn't have. I have most written down by now,I have to laught when thinking someone like me could come ahead of time with my magi-science. A pity that nobody would want to get in contact with me so I could share my knowledge.

I don't know why, but for some reason I fear tommorow. Its like precognition, I know that I will will die tommorow. And for some reason I even know who it will be to take my life, and I don't mind. Yet I fear death itself. I am cause for so many, so how could I... well, maybe I'm just hallucinating.

That was all he needed. He neatly rearanged everything in the room. He was silent, though he wasn't sad or anything, he wasn't sure what to make out of the feeling, but knowing everything ... I had been worth coming here. And so would be her life.
"Its my present, right?" he grabbed the obsidean daggers, swinging them around, then placing them at his waist. "And while we're at it." He grabbed a couple of books from the table. "If you can't spread knowledge than allow me to take care of this. I'll find someone to figure it out, since I'm not too much into magi-science. Well, farewell Lillith." He left the chamber and closed the door, the Mana polution didn't hurt him, but he noticed its presence. He left the tower, as something started tugging.

"...eh?" He raised an eybrow as she was being dragged strongly, forced to jog. "Geez Luthien, pull slower." he joked, he held the books on his arms. After a minute of almost running he finaly left the force field. He smiled at Luthien while she started scolding him - the rope had been stuck at some point, so he didnt notice her tugging. After explaining what he had experienced at the tower both of them hurried back to town. the sun was starting to go down anyway.
