The Castle of the Frozen Wastes

He searched the castle even to this point, trying to find a mana source he felt earlier. He was several stories into the castle and was in a room, significantly warmer then others for two reasons: because the door to it was shut before he came in and because there was a fire burning in the fireplace. Obviously someone was here a short while ago. He then walked out onto the balcony. It appeared he was in one of the several towers. There was a stairway coming from a balcony, leading somewhere higher into the tower. Nero started walking up this stairway, prepared to meet his foe. What was on the end of a stairway was simply another balcony leading into another room. This room was the same as the castle’s main hall in that it was frozen. He walked into the room, and then to the door, which was wide open. From there, he went to a larger round stairway which lead to a big double door. It was shut, but not locked. Inside was a hallway with suits of armor along the walls. The hall went directly left from the door and there was a suit of armor right in front of the entrance, facing the hall. What was different about it was that it had no weapons. For a second Nero was just examining it, after which he continued on walking into the hallway.

Halfway he stopped. Something wasn’t right. He had an uneasy feeling, as if there was someone. The biggest question was who? Then suddenly, the air pressure increased massively, there was a powerful aura coming from the same source as before. Nero turned around, to find that the armor suit he examined earlier had mana showing from where there were openings on the armor and had something that could be classified as eyes. It was charging full speed at Nero. What the fuck? The armor suit rammed into Nero with its shoulder and continued to charge. It was coming close to a wall and in the end smashed right through it.

They flew out of the tower, one of the few towers. This one was on a cliff and down below there was a bottomless pit. They both started falling. The suit was making powerful attacks at Nero, who doing his best to avoid or block. One of the hits was so powerful that it sent Nero towards the cliff. Well that makes things easier. Nero then made contact with the cliff and blurred upwards [Devil’s Trick]. He repeated several times so he could reach the castle again and landed on one of the balconies. He looked back down only to see the armor suit running up the cliff, smashing the frozen rock with every “step.” Crap! Nero backed off into the room, just as the suit smashed through the balcony. After a few second it came crashing through the roof, landed on both its feet and took a battle stance. So you wanna fight? Alright then. Nero put his hand on the sword handle.

Half of the room was destroyed at this point. Their fight was on a different scale than usual. The entire tower was dangerous for anyone present. The armor suit threw another punch, aiming for the head. Nero blurred out of the way and another huge hole opened in the wall. The room was more smashed up then cut up. The suit seemed to have the inability to get tired. It kept on making attempts and landing a blow at Nero, but Nero was too fast and easily avoided the attacks. The armor suit’s fighting style was rather understandable. It was a style with quite an open stance, which would make a human target vulnerable. Its attacks were mainly punches and kicks, sometimes hooks and elbows. What made them dangerous was their incredible power, which seemed equivalent to a canon blast. Damn, if this goes on, at least this whole part will collapse.

The floor crumbled with another punch made by the armor suit. The whole tower was shaking, almost ready to collapse. They were a floor below where they started and the magnitude of the fight was rather high. This guy has some power. Nero unloaded both clips into the armor suit, which had no effect. He put his guns away and blurred just in time. The wall in front of which he stood turned into powder from the sheer impact. If that had hit me, my head would’ve been clean off. So far there hasn’t been a single successful and effective hit. Each time Nero’s sword would land a hit, it would not cut through armor. Each time the suit was about to land a hit, Nero would blur out of the way. At this point the suit started powering up, and then unleashed a powerful punch to the floor. The tower shook, much greater than before.

From the side, it looked like the tower detached itself from the castle. It started tipping over. When it was at about 30 degrees off the castle, a few slashes cut some rock chunks out and Nero emerged from the hole. A few moments later the armor suit smashed through a bit further then Nero. Even though their fight brought them a few levels below where they started, it was still a very long way to the bottom. The suit charged Nero without hesitation. Nero dodged and was in the air for while before getting back to the tower which was tipping over. Gotta get off this thing before it brings me down. He started moving towards the bottom, gravity helping him with the speed. He was, however, intercepted by a kick that nearly got his head, if he wouldn’t dodge in time and only damage he received was a scratch on the temple. The armor suit then made a sweeping motion with his arm, missed, and smashed a pretty big hole in the wall. A shield and a few pieces of armor flew out. Hit the armory huh? Nero then got on the shield and started sliding down the sloping tower. He looked back to see the suit sprinting after him. Nero tried a different mechanic and pulled out both of his guns.

They were both still sliding down the tower. Well, Nero was, the suit was sprinting after him. Nero charged mana into both guns and unleashed a barrage of empowered bullets into the enemy. The suit avoided and continued to catch. After reloading and adjusting his route, Nero fired again in the same fashion as the last time. Now the suit jumped, and tried smashing Nero when he landed, but Nero avoided. The suit was close enough for hand to hand combat and Nero had a hard time dodging the attacks. Finally he got ahead of the suit. Nero holstered the guns, unsheathed his sword and sung it, making a powerful air wave. It was too close for the suit to dodge and blew it back. All right, almost there.

A few seconds later Nero was in the air, above the bottom floor of the tower, which stayed attached to the castle. Landing, he ran to the nearest doors. A few moments later he was in the main hall of the castle. But as he was about to start moving to the Opened door, The ceiling smashed and the suit landed right in front of him. Persistent son of a…The suit then looked outside, into the distance. And then it went inside the castle. The hell? Well whatever. Now…Nero walked outside the castle…Where the hell is WH Northern HQ?
