Holiday's Pastime

Holiday walked into the village of Illuminatia, she was singing a tune she learned as a kid and made it to the front gate until she was stopped by the guards. There was a large group of guards about 20 in total, all armed with bows, swords, and spears, all pointed at her. Holiday smiled under the shadow of her hat, she looked up in the sky and saw that the sun was pretty high in the sky. It was the perfect time to start causing some trouble. Holiday put her hands in the air in a mock gesture of surrender.

"My officers~ What's the problem?" Holiday said with a smile

"We suspect you of being a witch, so before you make any magic we will arrest you and keep you from doing any harm" The lead guard said

"And what proof do you have that I'm a witch?" Holiday said, cocking her head to the side.

"You have a strange hat, and we aren't going to take any chances" The guard said, he then pointed to one of his younger subordinates "Inspect her, see if she has anything on her"

"But sure, look what she's wearing, there's no possible way she could be hiding anything"

"Just do it, tie her up afterwards"

As the young man edged closer, he gulped with his nerves. He was just ordered to feel up a beautiful young woman and tie her up, he couldn't help but be nervous. Holiday noticed his hesitation and smiled at him.

"C'mon big boy, I don't bite, unless you want me too" Holiday flirted "I won't tell anyone if you enjoy it"

That sentence made the man even more nervous and when he finally managed to touch Holiday, she let out a slight moan.

"Sorry but your hand is cold" Holiday said smiling

The man made his inspection a little faster and while brushing through her clothing, several little eggs fell to the ground and rolled towards the guards. Holiday smiled the moment everything was set into motion. She snapped her fingers and in tandem all of the eggs exploded into massive explosions. Holiday brushed the dust off from the explosion and walked past all of the dead and unconscious guards.

At the center of town, the rest of the town guard came at the sound of the explosion, but they didn't expect to come face to face with Holiday. The young witch snapped her fingers and suddenly the sky became cloudy and began to snow. The snow began to form into a massive golem made of ice and snow, it roared at the humans as it charged towards them, crushing them with it's powerful arms and spiked body.

Holiday called out her broomstick and sat on it as it began to float in the air. She watched as her golem attacked the guards and assaulted the villagers. She sat and waited for someone to come, it had been a long time since she had seen a WH, and she wanted the chance to face one again.

Let me give you a helping hand!" He grabbed the hunter by the sruff of his shirt and slung him onto his back, still running toward the town.

Langford blinked when he was carried into Illuminatia, it's another thing that he was carried like a sack of potatoes. He glared at Toki and elbowed him at the back of his neck multiple times. "Oi! Let me down!" He exclaimed. Though very inconvenient in comfort, it was convenient that they had reached the town rather quickly. He carefully slipped out of Toki's grip and landed on the ground with a muffled thud and a quiet groan. "Damn it..." He mumbled as he slowly stood onto his feet and faced the town.

It was snowing...in the middle of summer! His jaw dropped for a second and then he rubbed his eyes. "The fuck is this?" He asked as he was more preoccupied with the snow instead of the damage for a moment. There was one snowman attacking villagers and guards. He gave a blank stare and then facepalmed. "It feels like I'm dealing with a child or something..." He mumbled before he quickly sprinted off into the town. "They better pay me extra for this shit." He said as he soon rushed into at it with his impractical weapon and slammed his weapon against it's legs. It did practically nothing. "What?" He tried a few more attacks it did no visible damage whatsoever and was soon hit in the chest by the snowman. It sent him flying into a building and he let out a loud groan. "Shit...that hurt..." He soon stood up, coughing out a little bit of blood and decided that it's time to take care of the snowman.

With a quiet cough and his hand moving over his sword, a dim light covered the weapon as it dramatically changed from what it used to be into a more manageable weapon. A sword instead of a block of metal and it looked significantly easier to manage. It also was a different sword, it had a serrated blade on both sides of the blade. If it's made out of snow. I assume fire will easily take care of it. Langford thought. Soon enough, he ran close to one of the snowmen and extended his hand towards it. "Hellfire." He muttered before shooting a column of flame towards the snowman's gut, leaving a moderate sized hole.

[Mana - 200, Health - 50]

Holiday observed a Witch Hunter fighting her golem, he didn't seem that strong, since he was tossed like a rag doll by her "Frosty". However, when he figured out what could hurt her golem, she started to get intrigued. Holiday flew down and hovered in the air near him, out of range of his sword.

"My my my~" Holiday smiled as she looked at the Witch Hunter, she looked back and forth between him and her golem. "It looks like you hurt my Frosty"

Holiday smiled as she touched the golem and the hole in his golem closed as the ice and snow reformed. Holiday then jumped down from her broomstick and stood beside her golem.

"Since I'm fighting with such a smart man, I think I'll make it even more fun" Holiday said smiling

At that instant, the snowing began to intensify as more and more snow fell to the ground. From the snow, two more snowmen appeared before Holiday. The golems stood around her and Holiday clicked her fingers as they charged towards the Witch Hunter.

"Oh I almost forgot, I'm Holiday October" Holiday said introducing herself "I hope you survive big boy, I've been wanting someone to play with"

(Mana - 120 +20)

Toji was bent over, getting his breath back. He sighed,and then straightened up. He looked at the three snow men rushing toward Langford. He grinned and pulled out his gaint katana, slicing the things heads off. He turned to Langford. " Look,you handle the witch. I'll take care of these beasties..." He hiked a thumb at the two snow giants,who were reforming. He turned around and made a "come on" with his hand. "Let's see watcha got, punks!.....Yaaaggh!" He charged toward the snow golems, rapidly throwing shuriken with one hand, and slashing with the other.

Langford watched as the snowmen were charging him and then intercepted by Toji. A quiet sigh of relief left his mouth as he focused his attention to Holiday. Her attitude about treating him like a plaything wasn't exactly the most pleasant thing as it was slowly starting to get on his nerves.

He pointed his hand towards her and wind started to gather. It started to spin in his hand till it made a mini tornado and was directed towards Holiday with enough wind and suction power to at least move a human being. It appeared that the wind could also cut fabric and unprotected skin. The wind made a lot of noise to make it sound like a roaring sound, however, it was starting to become out of control. He started to shoot a column of fire towards Holiday with his tornado, but, the wind was starting to waver. It was starting to backfire till the wind was sent into every direction, similar to grenade shrapnel. Langford coughed as he had received some of his own wind attack and was cut, they weren't heavy cuts, but, they also weren't light cuts as well. "Damn it..." He muttered before rushing in towards Holiday and slashed towards her.

[Mana - 80]

Holiday was caught off-guard for a moment, by the fact that she was moving towards the Witch Hunter due to an unknown force. By looking at things, it seemed like Holiday was being attacked by a wind elemental move, as she observed trees and buildings being cut. She looked at the Witch Hunter and she smiled as she noticed that his powers seemed to have backfired on him, looking at the cuts on his body.

Oh~ I see, well, I'll give you the satisfaction of hitting me, for a price

Holiday created a copy of herself, filling it with "Easter Bombs", and then charging its skin with "A Real Shocker". She split herself apart into a large group of bats, and then flew past the Witch Hunter, acting as a distraction as her deadly look alike was about to be slashed by his sword. The moment they touched, he would be shocked by the electricity and then the fake Holiday would explode in a glorious explosion.

Holiday reformed on the roof of a building, she dodged a flying blade of wind by a hair, the small piece falling down onto the tiles. Holiday looked at the hair, with mild irritation, the Witch Hunter had actually managed to hit her. Her anger rose a little more when her cheek suddenly opened slightly from a cut.

(- 90 mana +20)

The moment the sword made contact with Holiday's body, there was an electric current running through his sword into his body. "Aaaaaah!" Langford yelled as he felt his sword being charged by electricity. A split second later, Holiday exploded and he was sent into the air. He landed with a thud onto the hard ground and was rolling and sliding till he made a complete stop. His sword landed a few feet away from him. It was somewhat difficult to get back onto his feet. His jacket and his shirt was mostly shredded by the wind attack and most of it was burnt now due to the explosion, showing off parts of his chest.

"That...bitch..." He muttered underneath his breath as he moved towards his blade. Langford picked it off the ground and looked around for her. It took him a good second to find him as she had completely vanished from before. She was on top of a building and definitely out of his range for his blade. He walked towards her, not wanting to waste too much energy and tried to move her to his range again using "Nature's Vacuum". He tried his best to control it, but, he knew that it would be inevitable that it would backfire. So, he tried to at least make her within his range for "Hellfire" once more.

[Mana - 30 , Health - 200]

Holiday could feel herself moving of her own accord again, but this time she wasn't going to fall for it this time. This time, Holiday had a fun little prank to play on her Witch Hunter friend. Holiday formed another "Easter Bomb" in her hand and inside of it she filled it with her "Stink Smoke Bomb". Holiday threw her bomb at the Witch Hunter, and let it get carried by the wind. The bomb came at a direct course towards the man, and she would love to see the results.

"This is payback for cutting a woman's face" Holiday declared in an irritated tone "And for cutting my hair"

Holiday pulled out a pumpkin bag and reached inside of the hole on top. From the bag she pulled out 3 sticks of dynamite. She lit the fuses with her Jack O' Lantern, and then threw both the explosives and the fireball straight for the Witch Hunter.

(Mana - 90 +20)

Langford's control on the wind completely backfired and sent the volume of wind he gathered everywhere. Luckily enough, it had sent the Easter Egg bomb in the opposite direction, but, the wind caused it to explode. There was a foul smell that had reached his nose and he jumped backward, coughing and hacking. The dynamite was still coming towards him. He quickly jumped backwards to avoid the explosives, however, it wasn't enough to completely avoid them as the explosive force pushed him even further and caused his fall to be heavier into the ground.

"Remind me never to do it again." He commented as he stood up, still coughing as the smell felt like it would stay on him for a damn long time. He quickly ran around the smoke even though he felt like he was gagging and hoped he was in range for a Hellfire. Once he got in range, he casted a Hellfire and then rushed in hoping that he could get some potential damage in.

[Mana - 50]

Holiday looked in surprise as a stream of fire came towards her through the cloud of her stink bomb, but she wasn't too surprised to not get out of the way. Holiday split herself into a group of bats and then reformed in front of the Witch Hunter in order to escape from danger.

"Well that was close" Holiday smiled as she looked back at where her previous position was. "But you seem to be forgetting two things. One, I can use electricity."

Holiday put her hands on the ground, which was watery from the melting due to the fire.

"And two, ice melts when hot"

Holiday unleashed another surge of electricity, letting it flow through the water, ice and snow and attack the Witch Hunter.

(Mana -50 +20)

Langford's eyes widened as he tried to move away from the water, however, electricity simply moves too fast in water. "Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" screamed Langford as his muscles tensed and failed to respond to his will. He soon fell face first into the pool of water and completely helpless and defenseless. His grip on his weapon tightened till his knuckles till white and all he could do is look at Holiday. No matter what he did or tried, his body wouldn't respond at all. Move damn it, move! Fucking body! MOVE! His mind screamed as he was becoming desperate.

*boom* a shot with his valkyre allways let go the sound of a small exlosion, and he was sent back a meter on the icy ground before returning to run towards the scenerey again. He had aimed right at the witch, and was now reloading to shoot at her right again.

"Halt your attacks immeadiatly!" he yelled before firing off another load. he ran over to Langford on the ground, strapping his valkyre onto his back and helping him up. "sorry, it took me a while to get here. I'll take over from here on." he said as he carried langford a few meters away into the closeby alley.

he looked back towards the witch, wondering if his two shots actually did anything. he doubted it, but at least they would have surprised her and bought him time to secure a fellow witchhunter. He took out his spear and readied himself as he slowly reentered the battlefield.

At the sound of a loud boom, Holiday reacted as fast as she could and split into another swarm of bats before she was hit by the surprise attack. But she was unable to dodge both shots, and she clutched her shoulder from the wound of the ambush. It was only a light grazing, but it still hurt. She used a small procedure to close and seal the wound, by the end it was perfectly fine in appearance.

Holiday spotted the person who had interrupted the fight. From his looks, he was another Witch Hunter, she didn't want to waste any more of her mana being flashy and pulling pranks, it was time for her to be serious.

"Even though you don't seem that strong, I won't go easy on you" Holiday declared "Halloween"

At that moment, a small pumpkin doll appeared beside Holiday. It held two swords which represented yin and yang. Halloween looked up at Holiday.

"You called Master?" Halloween asked

"I need you to take care of that Witch Hunter, I want to savor some of my mana" Holiday ordered "I need it for later"

"Understood" Halloween nodded, then looked at the new Witch Hunter, the smile on the jack o' lantern face grew larger "Why hello there, I'm the cursed puppet, Halloween"

Holiday poked Halloween on the head, which made the puppet look up at her in curiousity.

"Halloween, give me two guns before you go, a couple of dynamite too, and a sword as well."

"You got it Master" Halloween replied, he reached inside his head and pulled out what Holiday asked for. He retrieved two desert eagles, five dynamite sticks and a japanese sword. "Merry Christmas Master"

"Thanks Halloween, now get moving"

Halloween dashed towards the Witch Hunter at great speeds, he brandished his swords and slashed at the Witch Hunter.

(-10 Mana +20)

Pelleas knew how to deal with meelee fighters, he had fought them for ages and knew how to block and counter them, though the small pumpkinhead was something he hadn't met yet. He darted forward aswell, swinging his lance to cast his weapon aside and using the energy from it to make a turn and shoot forward with the blunt side of his lance right towards the... things... chest.

before allowing it to react further he kicked at it and threw his lance at him numerous times to pierce right through him, he would try not to give him a single chance to counter, since he had to expect the witch to have a plan aswell.

"ha!" he yelled as he attempted another swipe coming from beneath in order to send the pumpkin doll upwards. He could handle the supporter at very least...

"Hahaha" Halloween laughed as he parried and dodged the attacks from the Witch Hunter, retaliating with his own. "You seem pretty strong kid, but you aren't strong enough to beat my master"

Halloween let himself be launched into the air, taking advantage of the situation, his swords disappeared as he pulled out two guns from his head, both black and white as well, keeping his color scheme of yin and yang.

"Just so you know, I'm an all range fighter" Halloween said smiling "I hope you're ready for an ass kicking"

Halloween began to unleash a barrage of bullets towards his opponent, increasing the distance as he shot towards the Witch Hunter, he could tell by his uniform he was only Blue class, yet another boost to his confidence.

Holiday in the meantime got on her broomstick and watched the fight unfold, she didn't increase his mana ouput, for it was needed when they faced a stronger opponent. Halloween at his current level would be able to take on a Blue-Class alone, and Halloween didn't like it when she interfered, so she decided it was better to stay out of the fight.

(Mana +20)

Pelleas had been expecting that this supporter had more up his sleeve, but he was cocky. Maybe he was just a b-class fighter, but underestimating your enemies would allways lead to ones downfall in the end. he smirked at his thought fitting the situation.

As the Halloween shot at him he raised his spear upwards and begann spining it around furiously, blocking most of the bullets. Besides, he was a bad target from the halloweens position so many bullets passed him by a meter even.
While blocking the bulletrain he reloaded his valkyre with one hand, ready to shoot at his target. He stopped his shield and raised his valkyre exactly upwards at the halloween - "Hey, if you haven't noticed, you're making a great target up there!" *booom* it resounded as the valkyre fired.

"Arg!" he grabbed onto his shoulder right after firing and hurried inside one of the buildings. his arm had been hit by one of the bullets and began bleeding, it was quite an unfortunate hit hitting through his shoulder downwards and out slightly above his elbow.

He looked onto the street, awaiting the helloween to come down. he loaded his valkyre but put it onto his back again. he wouldnt fire it right away. Instead he took his spear, it was slowly getting painted red through the blood coming down from his arm.

He got done with the snow golems, and saw Langford get shocked. He walked over to him and said, "Looks like it's my turn with her....." He turned to the witch, and grinned. "Yo,I'm your oppenant now,haha! Let's play....." His grin turned sinister,his hair crackled with lightning, and he pulled out a bunch of shuriken. "Shock City!" He charged up the shuriken with lightning and threw them all at the witch, tiny sparks streaming off of them. He continued with a dash,swinging his gaint katana fast and hard,rapidly.








-30 mana

Vivi gloomly walked over, not even bothered to look past her feet. She no longer felt any magical presence though it was probably close by. Gloomy as she may seem, adrenaline kept pumping into her veins, like the excitement most would feel in battle. She soon stopped, puzzled over a rather unusual hole on the ground. She decided it was time to see what was going on but her head wouldn't budge. Her body had probably knew what was going and decided to stay still until the moment arises.

However, her own body decided to take things into its own control. She unconciously drew ordnance out and fired a bright red flare onto the sky, followed by a large bang which brought herself back in control. "Wait... did I just, yeah... fuck." She quickly rushed behind a small boulder which barely passes as a safe zone.

Coming to a halt behind a man who seemed like some sort of lancer, was a young lad who could only be described as a biker-fellow. There was not even a sign that Travis was a WH. “Tch…” was the only thing that escaped from his mouth as the lancer retreated into the building. The creature that caused him to retreat was a pumpkin doll of some sort, meaning it was probably a supporter. As it was coming down, Travis, already in his Killer-Bee stance, rushed at it, jumped and performed a flying kick, aiming to send the doll flying. Although his spirit was at his minimum, it could still prove quite damaging.

Holiday created a large easter egg shell around herself and blocked the attacks that were sent at her.

Halloween was double teamed, but due to the different styles of attack, he was saved from the overall damage he could have taken. He used the momentum and jumped back to his master's side. Holiday smiled, the fight was getting interesting, but she didn't like the current odds. Fortunately for her, Holiday had a small ace up her sleeve.

Holiday created an arrow with a heart shaped arrow head. It was her special "Valentine's Arrow" and it did exactly as the name implies. Holiday set the arrow so that it would fire at the Blue-Class Witch Hunter if he revealed himself.

"Master" Halloween said as he prepared to jump back into the battle. "Give me a bigger supply of mana"

"You got it" Holiday winked

Halloween was charged with energy as his power increased. This time he wasn't going to be so easy to beat. Halloween charged back into the fray and slashed at the Witch Hunter who had attacked him.

She's closeby, if I manage to shoot her torso I might unjure her without killing her. he thought to himself, holding his valkyre, after drawing one heavy breath he turned right around the corner. She was close enough for him to properly hit so he immeadiatly raised his valkyre aiming at her.


before he could shoot, something had struck his chest, some kind of arrow - but the weird thing was it didn't hurt, and he wasn't dying either. It suddenly dispersed into thin air, without anything realy happening.
"hey! what di- ... did..." he let go of his valkyre and it fell into the snow, he was like in a trance the very moment he had glanced at her.

what is this, Why does my chest fell so warm? Why is my heart thumping so hard? And why... why is she...
"... so beautiful..." why had he not noticed before? Now that she was so close he was able to throw a proper glance at her, was it what people allways called love on first sight?

He was lovestruck, not moving, his lance was held loosely in his hand. He might have looked like in a daze, but he was fully aware of the situation, he just didn't care about anything else but her. "Please... may I know your name?" he asked Holiday shyly.

Langford was slowly starting to regain control of his movements as it appeared that the effects were slowly dying down. He used his sword as a crutch to slowly stand up and leaned against a nearby wall. He squeezed his hand tightly and then peeked out of the alleyway briefly to find that Pelleas wasn't attacking the witch. His eyes widened as he took a look at him and Holiday. ...he's like a lovestruck puppy...now he's fallen for her!? Langford thought. Though regardless, she was beautiful. But it wasn't the time.

He quickly sprinted out of the alleyway and grabbed Pelleas's shoulder. He pushed him backward, using him as a leverage and yelled towards him. "Now isn't the time to be bewitched by the enemy!" He hollered before holding a hand towards her. "Water Prison." he muttered underneath his breath as he tried to surround her with water.

[Mana - 40]

"I dare you to hurt her!" he suddenly yelled, the way it bursted out was entirely against his usual behavior. He grabbed his valkyre from the ground and used the entire length of the spear to pull langfort back and abort his attack, moving himself between Holiday and Langford.

Not only did his move push him back, but with one fluent motion he positioned his valkyre right into his face - icecold eyes filled with anger stared right at Langford, his musket slightly shaking and resounding in the cold air, as if the valkyre was just pleading to be set off now.

"I will protect her, and If you try to harm her I will not hesitate to kill you." he was dead serious.

Some sort of ridiculous looking projectile was fired at the lancer. Damn, I don’t wanna carry anyone back to HQ. He then saw another person, who also seemed like a WH atempt to attack the witch, but was stopped by the lancer. Bewitched huh? Well that sucks. Wish I could help that elemental user, but…He looked back as the puppet was coming at him with a swing. I got to take care of this thing first. At this point Travis ducked down, and at the same time extended his arm, making a palm thrust with a “HOOAH!” aiming to send the doll flying so he could move on to the witch.

Halloween blocked the palm strike aimed at him and dashed in front of the Witch Hunter's path, he brandished his swords as they transformed into guns.

"I'm not going to let you attack my master" Halloween said as he pointed his guns towards the Witch Hunter and began firing. "Three Witch Hunters are enough for her, so you and me are going to have some fun"

Holiday smiled as she watched the Witch Hunters getting ready to fight each other.

"My name is Holiday, big boy, and if you kill that guy I'll give you a reward" Holiday said smiling, she knew the effect wouldn't last forever, but it would bring things into her favor. Holiday theorized a plan in her head and turned her attention to the lightning user.

Holiday created seven Candy Cane Spears and launched them at the Witch Hunter at great speeds. Holiday aimed at all of the Witch Hunters who were against her and began to conjure a large group of vines made of mistletoe, they began to surround and attempted to wrap around the Witch Hunters.
