Second level of Christmas~

At the end of the staircase there would be a large room awaiting the travelers, a room filled with torches and sand covering the ground, its walls built in old desert stone. Entering the 'ring' would start the challenge off probably, yet it was already obvious what kind of challenge this would be.

First brain, now brawn - this place was an arena, even with ranks around for people to watch. how would this turn out?

Toji grinned when he saw what the second level was. "Awwww yaeh! This is great!Something I can do!" Hiro,walking beside him,rolled his eyes. "Yeah,yeah,runt, just be careful. Wait for the others to get here before you enter that ring."

As Melanie walked in she saw the kid and his dog riled up near what appeared to be a combat ring. great she thought readying her sword again before approaching the edge of it.

"What on earth could we be fighting?" She asked looking around "It doesnt look like anything is here...unless another wierd door opens. I hope we dont fight eachother" Worried she looked around as if something were going to spring out from the walls to attack her.

Sebastian finnally came into sight of the other two that had gone before him. He'd pause when he heard the trail off of their sentances; with a huff he'd ispect the local area that he planned on inhabiting until people got there. Upon finding nothing he would lean against the nearest wall and then throw his thought on the ring that obviously was a kind of arena. "An arena? Looks like a fight's going to go bout... If it's each other this may be a way of thinning ranks; if there's some sort of creature here that we need to tag team.... we may be okay; for now though waiting seems like a good idea." he'd shake his head a bit wondering silently to himself what on earth he had gotten himself into by taking that damned paper from that witchhunter.

Ryuuma entered what seemed to be a coliseum. He sighed as he realized that he may have to fight. Just after giving up Hakujin too... Just his luck. He walked alongside Melanie, who seemed to be the smallest of the bunch and probably the weakest. At least by his judgment... He was sort of a sexist when it came to combat. He had yet to meet a witch who could stand up to him and didn't expect to. Though he knew there was the odd powerhouse among the witches he didn't think much of it.

He looked over the arena as he spoke. "This labyrinth has been hidden here for god knows how long... How could anything still be living here?" A thought crossed Ryuuma's mind... What he thought about nothing being able to live down here could be accurate... So he feared that the ones they'd be fighting would be each other. He eyed up the others who had entered the arena, trying to guess what their strength levels could be... He held the hilt of Hyoujin tightly with his right hand, ready and waiting for something to happen...

As Ryuuma came in and stood next to Melanie she look over to him.

"Hey sorry about your loss." She said it honestly but at the same time she was thinking he would be easier to defeat with only one weapon. Melanie had some tricks up her sleeve. What most people dont know is that she has the ability to turn parts of her body into something else, of an animal per say. Meaning of course she had multiple weapons to his now one.

leon finally came through "woah arena huh?" he wasn't a stranger to arenas infant it were he did most of his combat training back when he was still in the labs "crap i hope it doesn't expect us to fight each other."leon looked around sizing every one up just in case if it came to that.

L Grimm entered a arena after some other people, he didnt really care about. He was just there to see what he could find, but the young lady he was talking to earlier was there. And he wasnt quite done with speaking to her, she kept his interest somehow which was hard to do.

He walked over to her, he didnt really mind something popping out the arena. He was used to things like this, and seeing the look on Toji's face he was gonna take out anything coming. L would most likely not have to fight at all.

"Hey Melanie was it? Hopefully I get too see what your capable of down here." he said smiling. He was completly calm in a almost tense situation.

Looks like there is gonna be a fight Holiday thought to herself Doesn't really matter, but I'm not in a fighting mood

Holiday took a step back, it wasn't in her nature to attack at first, often. But right now, she felt it was right not to start off the battle and wait it out. Holiday sat down on her rump, Halloween sitting next to her. Right now she was thinking of other things, and other people. But if she worked at it, she might be able to spread some Christmas cheer.

Let's see how this goes...

Melanie heard the sound of footsteps behind her and turned to see the cute guy from the other room enter and walk towards her. She let her guard down and eased her grip on her sword. When He spoke her name her heart fluttered and cheeks reddened.

"Yeah, uh i didn't catch your name though." She answered and looked to the arena. "I'm not even quite sure what i'm capable of i've only ever fought simple woodland creatures." Again worried about fighting other people she looked to Ryuuma again to see if he heard that, which of course he probably had.

Sebastian kept his place against the wall and watched the people filter in. It looked like everyone was getting ready for a fight against one another from what he could tell; kinda irritating that they assumed that they would fight one another. He huffed as he heard the small talk that the others were getting into; he'd let a shrug roll off of his shoulders before glancing at each person that was present. Some seemed tense and ready for a fight, others seemed completely relaxed. It was the latter that sebastian worried the most about; he would remember to keep his distance from those ones.... Except the magic users; he'd have to stay closer to them so that any ranged attack may hit them as well... After figuring out what he would do in case of a fight agaisnt the others sebastian would remain silent against the wall until someone spoke to him or once the event or riddle occured.

"Do we realy need to fight? Can't we solve it in another way?"Rose said in a worried voice, hiding behind Ryuuma as if she asked him to protect her. She was shaking by a good deal.

She expected something to thin down the people entering, but this early already? She had the means to protect herself, but she could already tell people would first focus on the witches and then the inhuman ones. Thats why she clung to Ryuuma, it strengthened the picture of a defenseless girl, there was no way people could tell for how long this young looking had been a witch, or wether she was a violent or a tame one.

As Lycan entered the arena she had a hapy face, this was what she liked to do . She wondered if she had to fight any of the people here, she started to decide who she wanted to fight most. Inu seemed quiet as not much was going on either way.

She decided to get inu ready for the fight in case there was one. She infused more mana into the tattoo of inu on her shoulder, which then got transfered to inu. The small red wolf grew to atleast 2 meters length, Lycan made a yay sound and jumped on its back.

Ryuuma raised an eyebrow at Rose who was clinging to his side. He looked over the others who seemed to get even more tense by the second. He sighed as he turned around to face the group and offer another one of his opinions that might help to ease everyone's minds... "This is only a room... Our goal has yet to be announced so don't get ahead of yourselves... For all we know this is just meant to pit us against each other by forcing us to assume that its meant to be a battle royal..." He looked across the arena, hoping to see another gate that would lead out of the arena. Had he not given up Hakujin he could just slice through the gate if there was one... He looked back towards the group. "And like Rose said earlier, what if a single person came here... Would the maze make him fight himself? It couldn't be that drastic..." Though he still doubted what he just said, he hoped that he wasn't wrong. He really just wanted to keep everyone calm for the time being. At least that way they wouldn't start killing each other before they knew for sure.

As a fair number of people had arrived in the Arena, something must have set of a mechanism in the door. At first it must have felt like a small earthquake, but in a matter of a few seconds the gate they all came from was closed off with a massive stone gate, it was at least a meter thick.

For a moment it was silent, until the voice from before started talking once again. The voice rings through the tunnel: „On the third level of Christmas the challenge was given to thee, face the m-”

"KEHAHAHAAA! Like hell you get the answer to the riddle, After your last performance I dont expect much of you, but lets play this safe.” A male voice had interupted, it was rather young but already sounded malicious and dangerous. It spoke loud enough for the rest of the opening speech to be impossible to understand.

"Vi~il!" the soft voice of a girl echoed after. "This is not nice, don’t be so mean. Besides it’s not hard to figure out what they have to do, although we could help them~” the voice had something childish but goodhearted inside, the exact opposite to the male voice before.

*Thud*

*Thud*

From above, two figures had jumped into the middle of the ring, one was shrouded in dark matter, entirely veiling its identity. The Other wasn't visible either, bathed in a white light like an angel. It was easy telling the figure of both, yet there was no way saying something about who they were.

"allright." the figure in the dark spoke out. "The following, this is level two of the examinations, this round will involve fighting. We're the examinators and decide who passes and who doesnt. First off, who is the leader of the team? step forward, dont worry, azu won't bite." he smirked.
"Oh, can we help them if we're the examinators?" she turned towards the group. "Is anyone feeling unwell or in need for something?" she sounded like she sincerly wanted to help out, though she addmittedly seemed almost zealous with it.

a) ATTACK!
b) decide on a leader and sent him forth
c) stay on distance, ask them about the 'examination'
d) Threaten them
e) just walk in front yourself, the leader probably gets special treatment

Ryuuma was quite uncomfortable with an empty scabbard at his side... They were a part of this labyrinth so they probably had access to whatever was taken in the first puzzle. Though he doubted they would return his sword, it was worth a shot. After all they did want to fight the group at their best. Ryuuma stepped forward and looked at Azu with determination. "The sword that was taken from me in the previous round was precious to me. Please return it to me." He said politely. He wasn't normally polite to people who fall from the ceiling but these were special circumstances. He couldn't fight at his best without two swords, despite the fact that Hyoujin was the strongest of the two.

Melanie stayed back from the two figures that appeared out of nowhere. She wanted to know what this examination was. Obviously it was fighting but did we fight them? What do we fight?

"Could you explain in more detail what this examination really is?" She stood there in confidence with her arms crossed waiting for a valid response.

Holiday stood up from her sitting spot, looking at the two beings that had come up to address them. She listened as they explained that they needed a leader. She watched as the one known as Ryuuma stood up, but obviously not to stand as leader. Holiday walked forward towards the two beings, standing beside Ryuuma as she spoke to them.

"It doesn't look like the others want to be leader, and Ryuuma here seems to be more concerned about his sword" Holiday said while glancing around the room, looking at everyone in it, and returning her gaze to the two entities. "So I'll be leader, unless this guy next to me is leader by default for asking you for his sword"

"You know, I saw it coming, these people are just too stupid." vil lamented, before someone could even react, he shot forward in the short distance between him and ryuuma, driving his fist right into his gut. "sucker punch! And now, time to say bye bye." he made a turn and grabbed Ryuuma's head, and using it as a handle to throw him back into the group, to be exact right into Holiday. The force behind it would drive both of them back to the group or straight against the wall.

"Go ahead and give 'em their swords, azu!" he shouted sideways, as the girlish figure started summoning something, though there was no sign of a portal in the vicinity.

"I love this opportunity, you know? I can hurt people, its one of my favorite hobbies beside destruction and death! And for the little missie miss 'lets kill a heart' - yes i'm talking to you shapeshifter, I won't answer to imbeciles. I mean, you realy were morons back there, and not only you, Guest aswell - and yes i'm talking TO YOU UP THERE READING!"

Possibly the boy was slightly insane, that didnt change anything about the fact he obviously was dangerous, just as dangerous as...

"I'm done~" azu chirped from behind, pointing above the group. Above them was hovering a large mountain of swords, not hivering for much longer though, as the mountain came crushing down towards the group. Anyone desiring to stay alive would have to try evading the stash of useless metal and steel swords.

"I'm allways glad to help~" the girl spoke happily, to her it was only helpint out a little. For everyone else it was a threat.

Melanie got red with anger as he not only gave away her secret but also accused her of being a cold-hearted killer!

"Hey I only thought we were to state an answer! I didn't want to kill anyone!" At that Melanie lunged at the black figure and swung her sword at his gut. "but I'm more than willing to kill you now!!"

Holiday quickly wrapped herself around with an Easter Egg shell. The swords that came crashing down upon Holiday's egg, diverting them as they bounced off of it. Though it wouldn't hold it off for long, but it was enough. For the moment the egg broke from being hit by thousands of blades, the egg burst and a large swarm of bats burst out and slipped through the assault. In the end, Holiday reformed her body away from danger.

"My~" Holiday smiled "Aren't we violent"

Holiday snapped her fingers and Halloween came to her side, the pumpkin doll pulling out two swords, his yin yang swords. In addition, Holiday created large spears made out of candy canes, but they were much sharper than they appeared. Holiday was ready to launch her attack at a moments notice, but it was best if she worked together with the others on this one.

"Alright everybody, what's the game plan?" Holiday said as she had the spears circle around the perimeter of the arena. "What are your powers? If we know what each other can do, we will be able to form up a plan. I can make Holiday things"

Ryuuma rolled off of Holiday and grunted. He stood up, brushed himself off and rubbed his head. "God damnit..." He said as he turned around to face the two examiners. He gripped the hilt of Hyoujin and took a battle ready stance. "I'm going to cut you limb from limb!" He said with anger as many swords began to rain down upon them. He drew Hyoujin and swung it over his head one hundred and eighty degress launching a wind blade in an arc over his head which struck several of the blades off course which also bumped in to other blades knocking the others out of the way, missing him. He looked about the field scanning through them to see if he could spot his own. He growled silently as he couldn't spot it, and he wouldn't be able to dig through them safely while those two were still standing. He kicked off the ground and Air walked in front of Azu, aiming his sword at Azu's face, his sword becoming wreathed in lightning. "I want my sword back!" He said, determined to retrieve his lost sword.

Toji grinned. "Well.witchie,.though you didnt get to see much of it in that one town, I can control and generate lighting,to the point that I can fire huge beams of electricity. I can also move at bullet speed, and I have enough strength to wrestle three gorillas at once. I also have varoius weapons hidden on my person, and I'm wearing armor that cant be peirced by normal weaponry." He demonstrated by grabbing several of the swords that were falling toward him, and breaking them with a punch. Teh rest he kicked outta the air. "That basiclly means I'm a walking,talking destruction machine." Hiro snorted. "Don't get cocky runt. Those people are possibly stronger than you,and don't you forget it." Toji rolled his eyes."Yeah,yeah, coach. I hear ya."

Sebastian watched the ensuing scene with interest until the point that the mountain of swords caused him to move from his postion of leaning against the wall to ontop of said wall. He saw Holiday deflect the swords that came at her with some sort of giant egg, while melanie was already slashing at the male of the two that had expressed hostile actions to their group. He'd eye the female of the two and then decided that he would try to take a bite out of her once he got close enough. He was too far away currently so he just jumped off of the wall and started to run at Azu; he made sure not to run in a straight line however. He was roughly halfway to his target when he answered holiday with a gruff shout. "Close quarters fighting, biting, clawing and the whole nine yards!"

"cool down a little, or freeze to death, both works fine, KEHAHAHA!" vil laughed, he enjoyed pissing people off. The assault of the shapeshifter girl aimed sidways from his guts.

*cling* a large two-hander suddenly stood there, rammed into the ground. He hadn't been wearing it up until now, yet from one moment to the next, he had pulled it out from his back - no, to be precise: he pulled it out of the black fog surrounding him. Whatever this black fog was, it allowed him to just pull out a giant sword.

"well, animals are impulsive after all, though i dont think shapeshifters entirely count as animals, more like an Abomination? what do you say, shapy?" he chuckled.

"Ah, mister throw-away-my-sword. What did it look like again, somewhat like this?" from the fog, the handle of a katana could be seen. It wasn't Ryuuma's sword, but what stash of swords could he be hiding in the shadows?

"Sturmwind!" he yelled, suddenly getting in motion and letting his sword course around, the two hander. Not through magic, but force it created a gust of wind, almost like a small tornade in his 360° strike.
